I also work at a Ruby Tuesday,as I am the salad bar attendant .I really enjoy my job . If it weren't for our customers , we wouldn't have a job . I hope that the corporate office will someday soon work out the glitches concerning those coupons and pray that you all keep coming back for more . Thanks for listening to my comment .

if you have to use a coupon to go out and eat then you should perhaps not be going out to eat. its called living outside your means and is why so many americans live check to check. if you cant afford it, then dont try and buy it. geez. we hate these coupons, because it draws only the cheapest of people. the type of people who shouldnt be eating out. 2.13 an hour is a horrible wage when you do not tip. do you realize that servers dont make any more than that. people come in with coupons and then stiff or leave a two dollar tip. not saying this applies to everyone, but a large majority.

Do you know that if it weren't for all of the so called people living outside their 'means', you wouldn't have your lousy $2.13/hr? All of the people with 'means' to 'live', eat freshly prepared foods cooked by actual chefs with culinary degrees--not at freshly re-frozen then re-heated times 3 restaurants, whose 'chef' spends his summers traveling with the carnival working the Fried Oreo booth. Good thing you have your non-skid waiter shoes on so you can safely climb down from your soap box. Oh, but before you do, use the quiet time to give some consideration as to why you're receiving $2 tips.

The only thing I hate, being an employee, is that there are people out there that use the 25% off coupon or the buy one get one free (up to Ten dollars), receive great service, from me anyway, and leave a crappy tip. This happens after they save 10 dollars or more if they use the 25% off one. We, the servers, have to tip out the food runners and the hostess. If you do not have the money to tip, then stay at home please. We have families to feed as well, and the table you used to sit at, could have been used for someone who would properly take care of their server. 10% is not ok, if the server does a great job.

Be happy you have a job. Any tip is better than sitting at home worrying that you aren't making any money. Maybe the people who use the buy one-get one coupons wouldn't even eat out if they didn't have a coupon. Be happy for them. If you don't like your job (as many people don't) move on or pull up your big girl panties and smile.

The Ruby Tuesday in the Sarasota Square Mall is great! The Jamaican manager David is uber-cool. James and Rick and Haley are the best servers. Cole and Steve are top notch bartenders. Check them out if you can!

I work for Ruby's as well and I too notice a big difference in tips with people that come in with coupons. Something that people may not realize is that our tip average effects how many tables we can serve and what shifts we can have. I have actually had to deny credit card tips when they are below 17% because it will hurt me more to get lesser tables then it would do me good to claim 5 bucks on a 50$ ticket. People dont realize that it hurts us to claim anything lower then 17-18%. The servers with the highest tip percentage is who gets the best shifts with the most tables. One night I turned down 4 5$ tips which adds up over 1 nights time all because it would of brought down my percentage per how much food I was selling. So please, if you get good service...please show thanks to your servers. Most of us try our best to give you a great service while your at Ruby Tuesdays. If you notice that on your credit card that a tip was not claimed by your server...it was because it would of hurt their tip percentage to claim your tip.

The coupon has the same number, but one per person. The server and/or manager typed it in wrong, because you can use this coupon and it is valid. Ruby Tuesday will honor any and all coupons that are VALID. I don't know what Ruby Tuesday y'all are going to,but the one I work at has no problems at all with coupons....

This is for the Person who works @Ruby Tuesdays that said they turn down credit card tips and other money. I'm not sure why you are doing this, money is money no matter how you look at it. At the end of the shift, you're tip average should be 15% of total sales, anything over that you're doing good, sometimes it's lower depending on the shift and customers. All in all NEVER EVER turn down any tip money. Go in there fighting for every penny. We earn it.And never turn dwn credit card tips
