However, Anna redeeming expired coupons should bother you as it is the same thing as stealing. :( Not only will the store NOT receive reimbursement from the manufacturer for that coupon (I am sure we are all aware of that), but the cashier would probably be written up (don't think that the person reconciling her till won't let the supervisor know she accepted expired coupons) or even fired. Shame on you

worked at Target as a manager, not a big deal if expired coupon is taken. We have up to so many days afterwards to redeem normally 60 days. If register takes them, employees are fine. No one is going to get written up for taking a $1.00 coupon. They are to get people in the store.

I agree with the person who said they worked at Target as a manager. Manufacturers give you usually 60 days to redeem. And honestly? SOme of us are too poor to care. Know how you can tell if your coupon will be accepted by the manufgacturer? Use the self checkout. I go to Wal Mart, and the cash supervisor told me the self-checkout registers allow you to use coupons up to 6 months old in some cases. Wal Mart (and some otehr stores) have employees who cut all the coupons out of their local ads and bring them into work to be sent in to the manufacturer-whether or not anyone has bought anything. I have also been to Walgreens and a couple other places where they will cut the newspaper coupons out and place them in a little holder next to the item that week, making it handy in case you forgot yours.

I was just sent a coupon by a friend of mine that is good for one free 12 pack of 12 OZ cans of any coke product. Expiration date 12-31-10. I tried to find a coke web site to verify it but annot locate one. Does anyone know how to check it out?

Well some of u sound very selfish...Think about the person behind the register...Yes u need a discount on an item but by trying to take advantage of the cashier certainly does not make u a good person...Little things like giving expired coupons to someone do count in the end...I am a manager at walmart and we do not take expired coupons. We only have one week to send in the coupons, usually every Monday morning all the coupons collected from sun-sat are sent in. Be respectful and thoughtful, don't use expire coupons and appreciate people :)

I think the reason as to why some coupons are still excepted months after the expiration dates on the coupon have expired,is because the manufacturer keeps running the coupon in sequence,so it's initially the same coupon with newer expiration dates printed,but the embedded product code and discount price is the same.
Since the bar code doesn't read their expiration date it excepts the coupon as being valid.
I think the only reall reason for manufacturers who do re-instate their coupons put an expiration date is for three purposes,one to get a consumer in and buy their product quickly,secondly to have the coupon cleared through a coupon clearing house in a timely manner,and three to prevent future unlimited liability for coupon redemptions.
I remember running across a coupon for a free pack of cig's in a reader's digest that was over 20 years old,however there was no expiration date on the coupon,so it had to be honored.

my walmart will not accept any coupn that does not have an expiration date on it.

As an avid coca cola user; I find it disgusting that I would have to pay for coupons that are generated by the Company for consumer usage.

There are so many starving people in the USA not to mention the world and it is horrible that deadbeats will attempt to print and sell coupons. I refuse to print from the internet considering there are alwasys malware and virus attached.

The company needs to mail coupons and stop this type of activity.
